Our Honey

Paul’s Healthy Honey’s are Organic and chemical residue free.

This means that our hives are located in the countryside usually over 10 kilometers from where where there are traces of pesticides and in pure clean open spaces.

Honey Varieties

'I have visited many markets and apiaries. There are many honeys available including plain honey, and some organic honey. Popular varieties include Yellowbox, Leatherwood, Grey Box, Red Gum, Salvation Jane, Blue Gum, Orange Blossom, Stringy Bark, Malaleuca, Clover, Iron Bark and of course - Manuka. I am happy to share my experiences with you. Please feel free to contact me.'

Tasty Anytime

My honey collection can be spread on toast or fresh bread.
It can be added to hot drinks or just taken by the spoonful.
Some honey blends can be digested for medicinal purposes.
High grade Manuka can be used topically, but we suggest this is to be in conjunction with medical advice. Most importantly I believe, our Paul’s Healthy Honey, tastes great.

Try adding some turmeric and apple cider vinegar to the honey and mix as a morning energy boost!

Manuka fact sheet

Manuka honey is one of the most famous honeys in the world because of its medicinal properties, including :

Antimicrobial activity – that is, the ability to kill superbugs (antibiotic-resistant bacteria and other difficult to treat microbes) that cause serious infections.

A natural compound called methylglyoxal (MGO) is responsible for much of the unique activity of manuka honey.

The MGO comes from a component, called dihydroxyacetone (DHA) which occurs organically in the nectar of flowers and some Leptospermum plants.

Manuka honey is produced by bees from the flowers (nectar) of Leptosermum Scoparium species of plants, native to Australia and New Zealand.
Australia is home to over 80 species of Leptosermum Scoparium, while New Zealand has only one species.

There are different grades of Manuka honey and at Paul’s Healthy Honey we work with many beekeepers throughout Australia to source premium quality honeys to pass on to our loyal customers.

There are different strengths of Manuka. Our MGO 40+ is an introductory level which is more like a preventative and can be use daily as a substitute for sugar and as a general sweetener. All of our honeys are tested in a laboratory and are certified to contain the minimum levels on each jar.
